Manufacturer and distributor information according to Section 18 Paragraph 3 and 4 ElektroG

Our Dwinguler products are designed to make children's eyes shine for as long as possible. However, it is unavoidable that Dwinguler products occasionally reach the end of their life cycle. It is important to us to provide you with the most helpful information possible about the correct disposal of our products, in accordance with our responsibility as a manufacturer and distributor in accordance with the so-called WEEE Directive, so that together we can conserve the earth's resources. Below we have put together the most important requirements that must be observed when disposing of our electrical and electronic devices - such as the Talking Pen.

     1. What does the WEEE Directive regulate?

The European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) regulates the placing on the market, return and environmentally friendly disposal of electrical and electronic equipment. Manufacturing and trading companies are obliged to take back their devices free of charge under certain conditions and to dispose of them in accordance with specified ecological standards.

     2. Special collection and return systems for electrical and electronic equipment

Electrical and electronic devices contain materials that should be recycled and reused wherever possible. Your electrical and electronic devices that have become waste do not belong in the household waste. If you dispose of your device separately, you will help to optimize this recovery and recycling flow! In addition, you can prevent existing and potentially dangerous substances from simply entering circulation and potentially damaging our environment and human health. So please always dispose of your electrical and electronic devices separately from unsorted municipal waste. In other words, separately from your household waste.

     3. How can I tell if this is a device that needs to be disposed of separately?

If you find the symbol of a crossed-out waste bin shown here on your device, then it must not be disposed of in your household waste! You can find this symbol on the device itself, on the accessories, on the packaging or in the accompanying documentation.

     4. Who can I return my old devices to?

Good to know: There are a number of options for the correct disposal of your electrical and electronic devices.a) Public collection points in your areaTo dispose of electrical and electronic devices correctly, you can use the public collection points in your area. Depending on the region and country, these are, for example, municipal recycling centers or similar collection points where you can hand in your old devices free of charge. You can get the addresses of the nearest disposal point in your area from your city or local authority. b) Take-back by manufacturers and distributorsIn addition, you can hand in old devices free of charge at take-back points set up by manufacturers or distributors in accordance with the ElektroG.The following are required to take back:Shops with a sales area of at least 400 m² for electrical and electronic devices and those grocery stores with a total sales area of at least 800 m² that offer and make electrical and electronic devices available on the market several times a year or permanently. For distributors who use distance communication means for sales, the storage and shipping areas for electrical and electronic devices are relevant instead of the sales area for electrical and electronic devices, and all storage and shipping areas are relevant instead of the total sales area.

     5. What are the conditions for return?

The possibility of returning old equipment free of charge to distributors who are obliged to take it back exists, among other things, when a new, similar device that essentially fulfils the same functions is given to an end user and, at collection points, the distributor does so regardless of whether a new device is purchased for old equipment that is no larger than 25 centimetres in any external dimension, and is limited to three old devices per device type. Distributors who sell using means of distance communication must generally guarantee the return by providing suitable return options within a reasonable distance from the respective end user.

     6. How do I find established collection points?

You can find the collection points set up by manufacturers and distributors in your area at the following link: https://www.take-e-back.de
